The Husband Project, Day Two

Discussion Question:
Describe your husband's perfect meal--where, when and what is served. Is it in a restaurant, or is it one of you cooking?

Project:
Make a list of 10 reasons you love your husband. E-mail me this list so I can post it. Once again, my e-mail address is www.ginger_tate0706@yahoo.com.

PS: You might want to leave the list laying around so he can find it....

Here are my ten reasons:
1) He is the same everyday. 2) I love the smile on his face when he knows he's been caught. 3) He loves God, church, and his family. 5) He always thinks of me first. 6) He loves traveling. 7) He cried when we lost our dog. 8) He loves being with our friends. 9) He runs our household on a budget and I always know that we are taken care of. 10) I know he will never leave me. (Ginger)

Here are Diane's 10 Reasons:
1) He loves God and knows the priority to place things..God, Me, Family, Work/Music, etc. 2) He has the best sense of humor! You can't be mad at him because he will say or do something that will just make you burst our laughing. Plus everyone loves him because he is SO-O-O-O-O-O FUNNY! 3) He loves our children, granddaughter (who lovingly calls him Poppy) with a love that is so real and beautiful...anyone that knows him, knows he is a 'loving & caring father/grandfather' in every sense. 4) He isn't afraid to show his softer side...i know the cliche says men shouldn't cry. But, my husband doesn't have a problme being real. 5) He surprises me in so many ways just to show me that he loves me and more importantly that he is IN LOVE with me. 6) He is not afraid to admit when he's wrong and hates to do/say anything that hurts me. I think it hurts him worst when he knows I am hurt and he goes out of his way to make it up to me. 7) He's my 'Teddy Bear'! I want him to be healthy because I want him here with me. 8)There is nothing like cuddling up under him and having him hold me. I feel so safe and secure. 9) He is so talented...I love to hear him sing - wow, what a voice (he can make you melt). When he sings at church, he is so anointed and you can just feel his love for God. Love what you are doing here - great pictures from yesterday. It is so great to see so many couples loving each other on purpose!

My husband's perfect/favorite meal is something I don't like to eat nor do I know how to make - SUSHI! However, I make a mean pan of Lasagna that he adores as well so if he wants to have a meal out it's Sushi but if he wants his wife's homecooking, he wants my Lasagna! Plus, my husband is the best cook there is....I told him he missed his calling by not opening a restaurant but God has blessed us with many gifts so I wouldn't be surprised if that didn't fit into our future one day! :-)

Thanks Ginger for helping couples to think about intentionally creating love for one another.

Tammy Mills said...His perfect meal is Chicken & noodles made by me at home. Everything from scratch. One whole chicken broiled for two hours on medium heat. Then add homemade egg noodles. Mashed potatoes and corn-on-the-cobb from our garden. This is our Sunday dinner.

His perfect meal is when he gets to make chili in the crock pot. He LOVES to cook (being Italian) and he was dubbed "The Chili King" by our former Pastor and friend (who still requests it often). 'When' is anytime and 'Where' is anywhere, but especially when we take it over to Pastor's house to share it with him and the Mrs.

Hey Ginger, My wonderful hubby enjoys most food, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Sushi, Italian; but given the option his favorite meal is a 16 oz (preferably larger) 2 inch sirloin, lightly seasoned and grilled medium rare, with mashed potatoes and corn (cause he likes to mix them together). Blessings, Susan

My husband, Carl, favorite meal is going to the Japanese steak house eating the salad with the ginger dressing, steak and chicken without the veggies extra fried rice. He will drink water without the lemon. And will pick on the chef the entire time. They always seem to remember him. He and the guys from the Sheriff's dept go there A LOT!
In fact his only request when he finishes up his officer training for the National Guard in March is to have lunch there on the way home.... lol

Hey Ginger,

I'm BLESSED to have a husband who LOVES to eat, and loves to eat WHATEVER I cook (unless it's veggies that are too crunchy or not covered in cheese!)

Unfortunately, that means that my husband doesn't actually have a FAVORITE anything that I make!

Things that he has expressed extra interest in, though, include:

- My turkey meatloaf w/ cheddar & duck sauce on top!
- Rice pilaf
- Catalina chicken (chicken made with Catalina dressing, apricot preserves, & onion soup mix)
- Balsamic chicken & pasta

He also loves Teryaki chicken or General Tso's if we eat out. He's pretty easy to please... just don't give him seafood!

My hubby's favorite meal is anythng barbeque and he puts it on just about everything except for steak and fish. Probably has a preferrence to Famous Dave's Resturant, we get to try barbeque everywhere we travel, we have found it can really vary all over the US. Mid-west is the best...

My husband's fav foods are 2 things that I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT COOK!! He loves Chinese food (boneless spare ribs) and Puerto Rican food!!! When we go back home to CT he can't wait to meet up with our friends so they can make him some rice and gondoles (spelling??)

My husband's perfect meal is homemade chicken and dumplings, made by me. He usually likes just about anything I put in front of him. He enjoys a good steak, Chinese food, BBQ ribs, hot dog with mustard slaw (homemade), or Chicken anything! (He reminds me on a regular basis that Chicken is his favorite meat.)

My husband's perfect meal is anytime I agree to go to Chipotle's!!! He can eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If I cook at home, the dinner must be my chicken & dumplings or tuna casserole. He loves the fact that I add shrimp to the tuna casserole then top it off with a mix of butter and ritz crackers crumbled all over the top of the casserole. I must also fix a pot of yams. He loves my yams!!!! Then of course either a salad and/or green beans.
